Week 36 |
Dos and Don'ts
  • Do cook some meals that can be frozen
  • Don't forget to properly install your car seat in your vehicle
Week 36 |
What should you expect in Week 36?
  • If you have “dropped” yet, you may soon!
  • It’s your last four weeks of pregnancy and while you may be in nesting mode, your baby is doing some nesting of their own and preparing to “assume the position,” if you know what we mean!
  • “Dropping may occur a few weeks before labor, or just a few hours prior,” says Dr. Rodney Wise, a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and Market Chief Medical Officer at AmeriHealth Caritas, told Baby List.
  • At this point, your baby’s circulation is fully functioning and they likely weigh close to 6 pounds!
  • As for you, Mom, the pain in your pelvic area may be getting more intense and your walk has likely turned into a waddle!
  • But this is normal as your gait changes with your pelvis widening in preparation to give birth!
  • Your vaginal discharge has likely increased as well. This is normal, but always keep a lookout for anything alarming like blood or a watery substance.
  • If you see either of those substances, reach out to your doctor.
  • If you notice mucus in your discharge, this could be your mucus plug. Don’t worry, this is likely just a warning that you’ll be going into labor soon,” Babylist reports!
