Week 15 |
What should you expect in Week 15?
  • You’re four months in and almost halfway there!
  • At this point in your pregnancy, things are “starting to fall into place,” so to speak.
  • As What to Expect reveals, your baby’s eyes and ears are moving into position, and your baby’s skeleton is starting to “ossify.”
  • However, the skin that is protecting your baby’s growing organs and bones is still very thin, almost see-through!
  • And because your baby is growing so quickly, you’re likely starting to show if you haven’t already!
  • And even though you may not feel him or her quite yet, your baby is super active and already working on breathing, sucking, and swallowing motions.
  • Mamas, it’s also important to take a good look at your gums and teeth during this stage of your pregnancy.
  • Due to pregnancy hormones, some moms may experience sore, swollen, red, sensitive, or bleeding gums. This could be the start of gingivitis. So make sure you’re really focused on your oral hygiene.
  • Additionally, those hormones may also be manifesting as a relentless stuffy nose or nosebleeds; this is normal. But if you’re at all concerned, please consult with your doctors.
  • Some other symptoms you may be experiencing are varicose veins, round ligament pain, pregnancy brain, heartburn, faintness, or dizziness.
  • At this point, mamas, you should see yourself slowly gaining weight.
  • About 1 pound per week is average!
