Ice-T Had an Ice-Cold Reaction to His 7-Year-Old Daughter Crushing on a Boy at School

Ice-T is already prepared for the moment someone breaks his little girl’s heart – at least that’s what he said in a new interview with E! News’ Francesca Amiker. The Law & Order: SVU star revealed that his 7-year-old daughter, Chanel – who he shares with wife Coco Austin – has already had her first crush.

“She had a little crush in the first grade. We teased back and forth. It’s not serious yet,” the 65-year-old said of Chanel – adding that he has already talked to her about boys. “I’ve already shown her the graves I’ve dug in the backyard for the little boys who make her cry, so she already knows what’s happening.”

Chanel appears to be learning fast because she already knows not to talk to her father about the boys she likes – especially the ones who don’t treat her right. According to Ice-T, she knows that her ‘daddy is a gangster’ who will do anything to protect his little ray of sunshine – or as he calls her, a ‘spark plug.’

It has been quite an emotional and momentous month for Ice-T, Coco Austin, and their youngest child, Chanel Nicole Marrow. On September 6, the 7-year-old made her runway debut at the Annual Rookie USA Fashion Show in New York City with her parents in attendance – as proud as can be, of course.

“Coco cried. This was [Chanel’s] first time being on stage by herself—and it was big!” Ice-T said of the moment – adding that his daughter ‘had a blast’ at the fashion show. “Everybody needs their own accolades. It doesn’t matter how many accolades I got—Coco needs hers, Chanel’s getting hers now.”

Among those accolades is a very popular social media presence – at 7 years old, she already has 446k followers on Instagram. And that presence is likely going to grow in the near future with the upcoming release of her first reality TV show – Coco Loves Chanel – which will feature the mother-daughter duo.

“It’s a feel good show, like our other show. And it’s kind of all about the life of mothers in entertainment with their kids and how they connect and things they go through and stuff. But it’s no nonsense, it’s no ratchetness,” Ice-T said of the show – adding that he’ll make appearances, but won’t have a main role.

Ice-T Wants Chanel to Become a Doctor One Day

In his interview with E! News, Ice-T revealed the three careers his daughter, Chanel, has the most interest in as she grows older. Aside from television, she’s showing an interest in becoming a YouTube influencer, a model, and/or a doctor. As you can likely imagine, Ice-T has a strong preference – the medical field.

“I’m pushing her because show business and entertainment is the boulevard of broken dreams,” he says of her ambition to be a doctor over being in show business. “It’s so hard to be successful at this. I wouldn’t ever push anybody down this lane, it’s something you gotta want to do and you gotta love doing it.”

Of course, she’s still young and it seems like she has an interest in just about everything right now – Ice-T says she also wants to sing and follow in his footsteps in the music industry. Unfortunately, he says her singing voice hasn’t quite matured yet and says she still ‘sounds like a cartoon,’ but he’s not giving up yet.

With that said, welcoming Chanel into his life seven years ago changed his outlook on life. Ever since his wife gave birth, he has made a stronger commitment to staying healthy and being more health-conscious to ensure he’s alive to watch his little girl grow into a woman. “I’ve been taking care of myself,” he said.
