Bronny James has been hospitalized after suffering cardiac arrest. According to TMZ, Bronny James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, reportedly collapsed while attending a basketball workout at USC.
The teen was rushed to a nearby hospital.
TMZ reports that Bronny is now in stable condition. In an exclusive statement shared by the James family, it was revealed that Bronny has since been removed from the ICU but is still in recovery.
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.”
As the statement continued, it read, “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Bronny’s brother, Bryce, shared a photo on his Instagram story of him and his brother. While Bryce didn’t say much about Bronny’s scary health battle, Bryce, captioned the photo with a simple red heart emoji.
The 911 call was reportedly made around 9:30 the morning of July 24. Bronny, 18, was unconscious as he was rushed via ambulance to the nearest hospital.
