The Season 3 premiere of The Kardashians was well worth the wait – not only did Khloe Kardashian reveal the name of her newest son, but we got to hear Kim Kardashian blast her ex-husband, Kanye West, over false rumors he allegedly started spreading prior to their very public breakup in 2021.
Those rumors accused Kim of cheating on Kanye with fellow hip-hop artist, Drake, while the two were still together – something she has already denied in the past. And while she was quick to deny them again on The Kardashians, she wasn’t about to let Kanye get away with starting and spreading the vicious rumor.
“The one that was supposed to protect me—and still does interviews saying they will be my forever protector—is the one that’s hurting me the most,” Kim said to her mother, Kris Jenner during the Season 3 premiere. “He was the one that started a rumor that said I was hooking up with Drake, having an affair.”
Kim Kardashian went on to express how she can’t wrap her head around ‘how he thinks he is a protector,’ when he’s the one that’s been accusing her of being unfaithful – adding he publicly accused her of being unfaithful their entire marriage. And while she’s ready to finally move on, it appears Kanye West isn’t.
“I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to be a part of this narrative,” she said of her ongoing rift with her ex-husband. Even when he says things about her, she feels hesitant to play along and speak her piece – at the end of the day, she wants to avoid engaging in a public feud with him because it gets ‘so intense.’
But now that their rift is starting to hurt others in the same way it has hurt Kim, she’s not letting him get away with it and feels now is the time to finally speak out. “I feel like I have to do something. Especially when it involves other people and it hurts other people, like, hurt me. Just keep it with me,” she said.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started dating in April 2012, got married on May 24, 2014, and share four children together – North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4. Kim filed for divorce in February 2021 and it was finalized in November 2022. Since then, Kanye has become highly controversial.
Kim Kardashian Reacts to Newest Nephew’s Name Reveal
Another major topic of discussion during the Season 3 premiere of The Kardashians was the name Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson chose for their 9-month-old son – who was born on July 28, 2022, via a surrogate mother. “His name is Tatum,” Khloe announced while calling the baby-naming process ‘hard.’
Kim Kardashian was quick to share who she thinks Tatum looks the most alike – Rob Kardashian, their 36-year-old brother. It’s a fitting comparison, especially since Tatum’s middle name is Robert – not only a nod to their brother but a nod to their father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away of cancer in 2003.
“There was talk about whether it should be Tatum Robert or should it be Robert Tatum,” one source told the US Sun on Thursday – adding that they eventually decided to go with Tatum Robert. “Some in the family were leaning more towards Robert because it honors her dad and her brother, [Rob Kardashian].”
