Maya Vander has kept a secret for the past nine months but is finally spilling the beans and sharing it with the world. The former Selling Sunset star revealed that she’s currently nine months pregnant and is expecting a baby girl any day now – her fourth child with husband Dave Miller.
The beans were spilled by The U.S. Sun on May 4 when they released an exclusive statement by the 41-year-old, who confirmed the news. The incoming baby is considered a rainbow baby, given the mother endured a stillbirth at 38 weeks in December 2021 and suffered a subsequent miscarriage in June 2022.
“It’s exciting, but also this time around I have more fears and more concerns given the last circumstances I kept quiet on social media because I lost a baby when I was nine months pregnant in the past,” she said in the statement – later explaining why they made the decision to have another child.

Maya Vander is already a parent to two living children – a 4-year-old son, Aiden, and a 3-year-old daughter Elle. Her incoming addition will be her fourth child, including her son, Mason, who she lost at 38 weeks. She hopes her personal story of staying persistent helps ‘inspire other women going through any loss.’
“I know it’s hard to understand why I would bother to get pregnant again, but I had a huge void to fill. I stayed calm and positive. I’m very lucky and thankful for my kids. It was just something that was missing. No one expects to lose a child and give birth to a stillborn,” she wrote in her statement to The U.S. Sun.
Prior to the announcement, fans began speculating on a potential pregnancy after noticing a baby bump in her latest Instagram post. While many were quick to point it out and even congratulate her on the pregnancy (even before she announced it), others urged those fans to avoid making assumptions.
“I really don’t think it’s appropriate to be commenting regarding whether she is pregnant or not. If she is I’m sure she’ll announce it when she feels it’s appropriate and not before,” one user wrote, while another added, “It’s never ok to assume a pregnancy and especially when someone has had a loss.”
Maya Vander Won’t Be Returning to ‘Selling Sunset’
With Season 6 of Selling Sunset premiering on May 19 and the first trailer being released just a few days ago, the show is going to look different without Maya Vander. She announced back in June 2022 that she won’t be returning to the show to focus on other priorities.
One of those priorities is her recently formed The Maya Vander Group, which is a member of the Compass family. And while she’s looking forward to growing her company, she’s perhaps most excited about spending more time with her family now that she doesn’t have to travel to Miami for filming.
Don’t worry, Vander is remaining close to her fellow Selling Sunset cast members and will continue to support the program from afar – like the rest of us. And with a new baby on the way, she’ll have her hands full as she watches her family grow – one she started four years ago with the birth of her son, Aiden.

She and her husband also just revealed a playground they donated to the Child Care Center in honor of their stillbirth son, Mason. “This playground will bring joy to so many children. Our stillborn Mason will be in our hearts forever! In every tragedy we can try to find a little light and learn how to navigate through hard times,” she wrote on Instagram.
