A spokesperson for the Metro Nashville Police Department is revealing additional information about the shooter who killed three children and three adults inside The Covenant School, a private Christian school.
New Information Regarding the Shooter Who Opened Fire Inside a Tennessee Elementary School Revealed
The spokesperson, Don Aaron, revealed that the shooter was a 28-year-old female who entered the school through a side entrance with two assault rifles and a handgun. Her full identity, however, nor her motive for such a heinous act, has yet to be publicly revealed, The Tennessean reports.
“The police department response was swift,” Aaron told the media. “Officers entered the first story of the school and begin clearing it. They heard shots coming from the second level; they immediately went to the gunfire.”

New reports have confirmed that at least three children are dead after a shooter opened fire inside a Tennessee Elementary School.
According to the Nashville Metro Police, the school shooting took place during the morning hours of March 27. The incident, which took place at The Covenant School, was first reported on social media around 10:30 a.m.
As the Metro Nashville PD shared on Twitter, responding police officers engaged with MNPD and was gunned down.
A spokesperson for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, John Howser, revealed that 3 “pediatric patients were transported to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, all having suffered gunshot wounds.” Sadly, Howser further revealed that “all three were pronounced dead after arrival.”
While the names and ages of the victims have not yet been revealed, The Covenant School caters to students from pre-school to sixth grade. The identity of the shooter has also not yet been revealed.
