Savannah Chrisley doesn’t seem to be handling her family’s recent legal troubles too well. On her Unlocked podcast, she recently opened up about her mother, Julie Chrisley, and father, Todd Chrisley, being convicted of conspiracy of bank fraud and tax evasion back in June.
The 25-year-old recently sat down with her mother, Julie, during the latest episode of her podcast and the two got candid about their family’s current situation. They voiced the challenges they’ve faced and continue to face as they await Todd and Julie’s sentencing on November 21.
Savannah detailed how difficult it was watching her mother and father go through the trial. There were moments when she wondered if ‘they have it in them to keep fighting.’ Nonetheless, the family is committed to maintaining faith and continuing to fight ‘to get through to the other side.’
“That’s where I’m at, being so angry because my whole life could change. And I don’t mean money. But the two people that I’ve always had there for me and that’s been my support system and who I’ve leaned on,” said Savannah, adding she isn’t handling it as well as her mother.
She seemed to question the amount of support – or lack of it – her mother and father have received in the past few months. “It makes me so angry to see two people who are constantly stepping up for people and then, it’s like, ‘When are people gonna step up for them?'”
As for her mother, Julie took the time to talk about her faith in God and how she continues to believe that everything will work out as intended. “Everyone has it hard. But the one thing God has said is ‘I will never leave you, I will never forsake you,’” said Julie on the recent podcast.
She added that while God hasn’t promised them it would always be ‘rainbows and sunshine,’ He has also ‘promised that the rain would eventually stop.’ For the Chrisley family, that rain could continue to pour for several decades as the couple currently faces up to 30 years in prison.
Savannah Chrisley Isn’t Giving Up Faith In Her Family
Despite her mother and father being convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and tax fraud – as well as Julie being convicted of wire fraud – their daughter Savannah Chrisley isn’t ready to give up on them. In fact, she has been speaking out in defense of her parents for months now.
“Before you continue reading I would like to ask one thing of you…please be kind. This life is so cruel and we’re all doing the best we can. I will continue to stand by my family and fight for justice. Justice for ourselves and for others that the system has failed,” she said on Instagram.
Her parents will learn of their sentencing on November 21 when they return to court – they were found guilty on June 7, 2022. Their initial indictment came in August 2019, with a second indictment coming earlier this year. They conspired to defraud banks of more than $30 million.

Their lawyers have announced their ‘disappointment’ over the verdict and are planning to appeal the decision. “They both remain strong in their faith and will continue the ‘fight’ until they are vindicated,” said Steve Friedberg, one of the family’s lawyers. We’ll be learning more soon!
