On July 21, Jill Duggar Dillard took to Instagram to share some big news with her followers. As many have already known, Jill and her husband Derick Dillard were expecting their third child together.
And now that third little one is here! According to Jill’s most recent post, she shared a photo of their third child who looked adorable in a tiny little brown romper as he lay in his crib!

That’s right, Jill and Derick are now the proud parents of three little boys. The couple already shares Samuel and Israel.
Frederick Michael Dillard, who they affectionately call Freddy was born on July 7 at 5:16 p.m., weighing seven pounds, six ounces, and measuring 20 inches long.
This is the couple’s rainbow baby after suffering a miscarriage back in 2021. “Hey! We are finally back on Instagram after being locked down & unable to post for a while,” Jill said in her birth announcement.
The mom of three went on to share the meaning behind Freddy’s name and how his name came to be. “Frederick means ‘Peaceful Ruler’ and Michael means ‘Gift from God.’”
“The name Frederick also holds special meaning for us since it’s Derick’s name with “Fre” added to the front, to make ‘Fre-derick.’ Similarly, Derick’s name is a variation of his late dad’s name, Rick, that his parents created by adding ‘de’ to the front of Rick to spell, ‘de’-‘rick,’ literally meaning son “of” (de) Rick.”
As Jill continued, she wrote that “we were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporate both Derick’s and his dad’s name, by just adding “Fre” to the beginning of Derick’s name.”
The proud mama revealed Freddy was born a few weeks early, joining the family the day before they celebrated his big brother Samuel’s birthday. Jill also shared that Freddy was born via c-section.
“Both mom and baby are healthy and we are all happy to be home together,” she confirmed to her fans. The Dillard family first announced she was pregnant back in February 2022.
Following their reveal and Jill’s brother’s sentencing, the family made a big change by moving to a new house, in a new state, with a new job!
