In what turned out to be a terrifying Thursday morning for the Bieber family, Hailey Bieber has taken to her Instagram story to share what she endured on March 10.
As Hailey began her statement, she revealed that she was enjoying breakfast with her husband, singer Justin Bieber, when she started to feel ill. “I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms,” Hailey wrote, “and was taken to the hospital.”

As the model continued to explain the doctors discovered the source of her symptoms. “They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen,” Hailey revealed.
Luckily, Hailey’s body “passed [the clot] on its own,” and she “recovered completely within a few hours.” “Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through, I’m home now and doing well, and I’m so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me,” Hailey said.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love.” It remains unclear if Bieber has to worry about returning blood clots or if they suspect she will remain okay in the future.

Hailey isn’t the only one in her family who has experienced a health scare in recent weeks. As reports revealed several weeks ago, Justin had to cancel a few of his concerts while contracting COVID-19 on tour.
It was never publicly reported if Hailey also tested positive for COVID-19 during that time. In 2021, it was revealed that those with even mild COVID cases could suffer from blood clots as a result of the virus, Reuters reported.
While Justin hasn’t commented on his wife’s health scare, he did share a photo of the two of them together with the caption, “Can’t keep this one down.” We are glad to hear all is well now in the Bieber household.
