As the saga continued, basketball star Tristan Thompson is publicly apologizing to his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his daughter, Khloè Kardashian. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Thompson had a history of infidelity while dating Khloè.
Most recently, it was revealed that around the time Thompson turn 30, earlier this year, one of his affairs resulted in a pregnancy and consequently, a son. In 2020, despite his past actions, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson rekindled their romance.
Tristan Thompson Uses Instagram to Publicly Apologize to Khloe Kardashian for Cheating on Her Again
It is believed the pair were still dating when Thompson go Maralee Nichols pregnant. Recently, a paternity test revealed that Nichols son’s father is, in fact, Thompson.
Now that he can no longer deny having relations with Nichols, Thompson took to Instagram to issue a public apology to Khloé. Action that some people are taking issue with.
“Today, paternity test results reveal the I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” Thompson began his statement. “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
“I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately,” Thompson continued before directing his statement directly toward Khloè. It’s unclear if his reasoning for making his apology public is because he and Khloé are not on speaking terms.
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.
You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
According to E! News, Khloè Kardashian has been made aware of Tristan Thompson’s public plea and is moving on with her life without him. A source told E! News that Khloé “is still very upset and it’s been hard for her to accept this.”
“After everything they have been through, he was still saying one thing and doing another. She knows she deserves so much better.” The source continued saying that the Kardashian-Jenner family is relieved that this was the last straw for Khloè and she is “finally ready to move on and let go.”
Now their relationship will only exist for the benefit of their daughter, True. They plan to follow a custody schedule, the source said, and “that is it.”
In a court filing, Thompson claimed that he and Nichols “attended a party together at a hotel in Houston. [She] had called me and wanted to be with me on my birthday. …[Nichols] constantly used the term ‘hook up’ to describe our relationship which was the reality.”
Recently, Khloé and her sisters teased that after ending their reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians on E!, they may be picking up where they left off, but on Hulu. It begs the question, will Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian’s falling out be seen on the small screen soon?
