Shawn Johnson slammed the TSA on Instagram this past weekend after she claims she was “groped and yelled at” while waiting to board a flight.
Why, you ask? Because she was carrying breast milk for her infant, Jett.
“I’m really sorry you have had a bad day but taking it out on me was unnecessary,” she wrote in the first photo she shared. “I can honestly say that was one of the worst experiences I have.”
“We as mamas have a duty to our babies and a right in this world to carry breast milk through security,” she captioned the photo of her breast milk storage bags.
“Having you public[ly] humiliate me in proving to you it was actually breast milk was against my rights. To then be groped and yelled at in public was excessive. I know you were doing your job … but so was I.”
And while she did not elaborate on the exact incident, she was very livid about the incident.

According to the TSA website. “Formula, breast milk and juice are allowed in reasonable quantities in carry-on bags. Remove these items from your carry-on bag to be screened separately from the rest of your belongings. You do not need to travel with your child to bring breast milk.”
So it sounds like she shouldn’t have had any issues.
After giving birth to her daughter, Drew, Shawn was open about how she struggled with breastfeeding.

“I had a really bad experience with a lactation consultant and I all but kicked her out of my house because she basically said that I had ruined my child’s life because I gave her a bottle and formula,” she said during an interview with People at the time. “I was like, ‘You know what? I can’t listen to this anymore.'”
When her newborn was just 4 weeks old, she admitted to Instagram how difficult it was to breastfeed.
“There’s always one feed a day where he seems super hungry and gives all the cues but screams bloody murder when i try to feed him,” she shared, captioning a photo with her baby boy and a pacifier in his mouth. “it makes me so sad. Anyone else?”
Previously, Johnson East has been open about her nursing experience. Back in August, Johnson East admitted that she “cried happy tears” when her newborn son was able to nurse, unlike her first child.
