Sometimes as parents you just have to be honest about the fact that your kids can be total a**holes. They don’t mean to, of course, but they nevertheless aren’t always perfectly well-behaved. (Att least ours aren’t!) Turns out, Gwyneth Paltrow is in the same boat as many of us.
Paltrow recently appeared on the Today show to chat with Savannah Guthrie about motherhood, her new Netflix showThe Politician, and Goop.

Gwyneth Paltrow on Her Relationship with Her Kids
She spoke to Guthrie about her two teenaged children, Apple, 15, and Moses, 13, with ex, Chris Martin.
On the plus side, Paltrow told her, “It’s the best. They’re really coming into themselves. They’re hilarious. They’re smart. They can talk. They can sort of muse about things – it’s the greatest.”
On the other end of the spectrum, though, Paltrow admitted that they can be “dicks once in a while,” prompting the morning show to bleep her.

Paltrow also spoke about having a daughter led to her publically speaking out about Harvey Weinstein. Paltrow has appeared in multiple Weinstein films, including Shakespeare in Love, for which she won an Academy Award.
“I was really scared. Society had shown us only basically examples where women coming forward ended up not being advantageous for the woman, but I really felt like it was time,” Paltrow said.
“I think also having a teenage daughter that’s the love of my life and worrying about her going into the workplace and feeling like if there was ever a chance that there could be a cultural shift on this stuff, I wanted to participate in,” she told Guthrie.
“I never could have imagined that collectively a shift this seismic would happen, but I feel proud that I have a small part in it.”
