Kevin Hart is not shying away from having hard conversations with his kids.
In a new interview, Kevin admitted how he was honest with his kids about the cheating scandal, adding why he felt it was vital to be transparent to them. Back in 2017, Kevin was accused of cheating on his wife Eniko Parrish.
The details of Kevin’s affair were reportedly leaked by a former friend who had attempted to blackmail the actor with a video of him cheating on his then-pregnant wife with singer Montia Sabbag.
And when Kevin refused to be blackmailed, the friend sent the video to Eniko through a direct message on Instagram. Kevin at first denied the accusations that popped up following the scandal, but then he later admitted to the affair.
Kevin has since accepted that his kids would have eventually found out about the affair.

“You have to talk to your kids about it because it’s going to come out,” he revealed, adding how each child is different. “You have to understand the different personalities and manage them correctly.”
Kevin shared how his kids understand who he is, and how his fame can both help as well as hurt their family.
“Unfortunately, there’s a gift and a curse that comes with that. The gift is the life that you’re able to live, and the curse is the spotlight that’s on you constantly,” he added.

Eniko revealed how the scandal affected her in Hart’s documentary Don’t F**k This Up. She was just sitting down for her day when her world came crashing down when the cheating scandal surfaced. “I was having breakfast, I opened my phone, and immediately I just lost it.”
Prior, Kevin opened up about the progress of their relationship just two years after the scandal broke. “[Eniko] came to an amazing conclusion of, ‘I like the fact that we have a family, that we have a household, and I like the fact that we now got a job to do to get better,” Kevin said on The School of Greatness podcast.
“She’s the strongest person in the world. She held me accountable. It wasn’t a walk in the park. But it was her understanding that we don’t let the outside world affect our inside, and I credit her for setting that tone. You really get to see who people are when adversity puts itself on display.”
