Pink Admits How She ‘Didn’t Really Want To Be A Mom’

Pink never really envisioned herself being a mom.

The now adoring mom of two revealed to Carson Daly on Today admitted how her parenthood plans shifted with age as when she was younger, it was not on her list of “to-dos”.

“I didn’t really want to be a mom,” she said. “I didn’t not want to be a mom. But it just wasn’t on my list of to-dos.”

In fact, Pink admitted she was “surprised” at just how much she adores motherhood — and it all began once she gave birth to her firstborn daughter, Willow Sage.

“I had Willow and, man, that saying of ‘watching your heart go walking outside of your body,’” she said of the experience. “It’s truly how it feels.”

The mom of two shares Willow, 9, and Jameson Moon, 4, with Corey Hart. Back in 2019, Pink revealed to Billboard how touring with her family was challenging to say the least.

“There have been many times when I have been sitting in the corner of arena bathrooms crying and saying to myself, ‘There’s a reason why women don’t do this, there’s a reason why moms don’t do this,’ because it’s f****** impossible at times,” she said, adding that Willow was “over it.”

“She wants to be home and do BMX and swim team and gymnastics and all the s*** than an 8-year-old wants to do,” she continued. “She was asking to go home, and that’s when I knew: From here on out, it changes.”

Following her 15th anniversary with husband Hart this past January, the star got honest about the realities of a long-term marriage

Ahead of the rockstar mom’s Amazon Prime documentary, All I Know So Far, the 41-year-old sat down with People to speak of hers and Carey’s relationship over the years.

“When you first get together, you look at that person as your entire world,” Pink said. “One person can’t be your entire world. You have to have your own passions, your own friends, your own time to yourself. I used to be super needy,” she revealed. “Now we expect less of each other, and that allows us to give each other more somehow.”
