A teenage girl’s first experience with being hit on in public was caught on live video and quickly went viral after she posted it to social media.
The clip highlights the ugly truth that most women experience as they become of age: sexual harassment is an ever present monster that isn’t going away anytime soon.
The young woman, who says in the video’s captions that “this has never happened to me before” was talking on a live video with friends at a hotel pool area when an unknown man approached her.
The footage captures her discomfort and as such, she decided to upload the video to TikTok to share the awkward encounter.
Sadly, the reactions to the clip echoed one after the other and many condemned the man’s actions (and rightfully so).

One user commented: “Raise your hand if this creepy crawly crap happened to you when you were a teenager. He only leaves when she says she’s doing a live feed. This stuff happens a bazillion times a day and it sets the tone of what young women and girls begin to expect from men.”
Followed by a reply in agreement to the comment above:
“This was my exact reaction. We learn how to tactfully deal with these situations to avoid potential violence when we are alarmingly young. I don’t know a single woman who didn’t see themselves in this video – and it’s heartbreaking.”

While another user plainly put it: “Why was I holding my breath the entire video? I know this stress.”
After her video garnered over 11 million views, the user, who goes by @maasassin_ on TikTok, eventually deleted her video and her account.
