Princess Charlotte Is Fond of Lying About Her Age, According to Her Royal Dad.
Princess Charlotte just celebrated a birthday and she’s already started lying about her age.
The 6-year-old royal has apparently been telling people that she’s 16, Prince William said.
“I’m six now. I’ll do what I want,” is another common refrain the royal daddy has become accustomed to hearing from little Charlotte.
Prince William’s comments were made to Jenna Jackson, Babcock Vehicle Engineering’s Lead HR Partner.
The prince was visiting the company to learn about the company’s important work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic but the conversation turned to Charlotte who celebrated her birthday just days prior.
When asked Jackson about his daughter’s birthday, Prince William said, “She had a lovely day, thank you.”
“Last year it was her birthday in lockdown, but this year we were able to have one other family over,” Hello! reported. “They grow up very fast. It was great fun.”
In a new portrait taken by her mother, Kate Middleton, Princess Charlotte bears a striking resemblance to her father.
Princess Charlotte may not be 16, but she is certainly growing up quickly.
Mom Kate reportedly took Charlotte and Prince George to a London store for some shopping, where they used their own money to purchase their goodies.
“I’ve always been a Kate Middleton fan…” a shop owner where Princess Charlotte had been shopping with her mom said.
“Today she was in one of my stores on the Kings Road with George and Charlotte, what the team told me about how she was with them and how the kids were with each other makes me like her even more!,” the woman added on Twitter.
The store owner also shared that the royal children “had a budget that they stuck to and paid for their own things with their own money.”
“Just normal well brought up children and a normal parent trying to do the right thing and that’s just lovely!” the woman also tweeted.
Prince William has had a lot to say about his only daughter as of late. In a newly released documentary that he’s a part of, called A Planet For Us All, William answered questions from schoolchildren.
When a curious kid asked, “Is Princess Charlotte cheekier than Prince George?”
“No, they’re about as cheeky as each other. They’re very cheeky.” Prince William replied.
Another student in attendance asked William if George had taught the family how to do the floss dance that’s all the rage with kids these days.
“No, Charlotte can floss,” the Duke of Cambridge replied, adding that their daughter had perfected the dance at the age of 4 and that his wife could also do the moves.
“Catherine can floss, but I can’t. It’s, it’s like a really horrible film to watch me floss.”

We honestly wonder if the 6-going-on-16 Princess did any flossing for her birthday. What do you think?
We may never know, but we do know her family was very happy to celebrate the Princess’s birthday.
The Queen’s official Instagram account shared an image of the child on her birthday.
“Wishing Princess Charlotte a very happy sixth birthday today,” read the caption under the adorable photo.
“She looks like Queen Elizabeth,” one royal-watcher commented on the photo.
“She looks so much like the queen,” another person wrote in agreement. “Looks so much like the queen when she was a young girl.”
While others believe the newly-turned 6-year-old, looked more like her father.
“Well that’s William’s daughter,” another wrote. “Love the picture, she is the spitting image of William!!”
While we might all disagree about who Princess Charlotte most favors, it is unquestionable that she’s still a little girl of just six years of age and not 16!
