On March 24, actress and singer Ashley Tisdale, best known for her role in Disney’s High School Musical movies, revealed that she was officially a mom. The first time mom shared a black and white photo of her little girl’s hand wrapped around her thumb!
In the caption, Tisdale revealed that their baby girl arrived on March 23! The proud mom also revealed the name she and her husband Christopher French gave their little one; Jupiter Iris French.

And a slew of her famous friends were quick to share their congratulatory messages in the comments section of her post. Actress Lea Michele wrote, “Congratulations beautiful mama,” while Emma Roberts wrote, “Angel!!!!”
Hilary Duff also commented her approval of the little one’s unique name, writing, “Jupiter ✨ welcome little girl.” Actress Sarah Hyland also responded to the cheerful news, adding, “A QUEEEEEN AND HER PRINCESS!!!!!!”
Jupiter’s March arrival comes six months after Tisdale and French first announced that they were expecting on social media.
The couple chose to keep it simple with their announcement by forgoing the caption and simply letting the pictures and their smiling faces tell the big news. Roughly a month later, the couple also revealed that they were expecting a baby girl with the hashtag, “She’s So French.”
In the days leading up to Jupiter’s arrival, Tisdale shared shots from her maternity shoot and also opened up about her relationship with her changing body during her pregnancy. On her website, Frenshe, Tisdale wrote that up until her maternity shoot, she didn’t have “the whole warm and fuzzy feeling about my pregnant body being beautiful.”
“Don’t get me wrong,” Tisdale wrote, “I am so proud of my body and I’m so grateful to be able to create a home and grow my little one.” But when it came to feeling beautiful and at peace with her growing belly, those feelings just weren’t there.
“Seeing my body look so different is still a little startling to me. It’s like I don’t fully recognize myself and almost like an out-of-body experience. Thoughts like, “Is that really me?” come to mind. I think it comes down to body acceptance vs body love. I think that you can love your body, no matter what shape or form, but it’s the acceptance part that trips me up a little.”
Tisdale also admitted that she wasn’t sure what her body would look like after giving birth, but she does know that she’s “going to give it time, let it heal, and take really good care of it.” The new mom admitted that she wanted to share the way she was feeling her about her body and how she was handling those feeling because she knows she’s not the only mom feeling those feelings.
