Halsey does not have time for people’s pregnancy rumors! The musician, who announced her pregnancy in January, has been incredibly forthcoming and candid about her pregnancy ever since then. Now, she has cleared up any speculation by saying that her pregnancy was “100% planned” along with some advice.
The singer is expecting her first child with boyfriend Alev Aydin and she does not think people need “to speculate and pass judgment about fertility and conception.”
In a blunt Instagram post, Halsey shut down rumors regarding her conception.
“Why is it ok to speculate and pass judgment about fertility and conception?” the artist asked in a post to her Instagram stories.
“My pregnancy was 100% planned, and I tried very hard for this bb,” she continued. “But I would be just as happy even if it were another way.”

We felt that. Whether or not you planned or did not plan your pregnancy you can still celebrate the miracle of life any which way you choose and folks should not be judged for that.
The 26-year-old “Without Me” singer has been open about experiencing multiple miscarriages in the past, saying in an interview last year, “It’s the most inadequate I’ve ever felt.”
“Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can’t do the one thing I’m biologically put on this earth to do,” she went on about her experience. “Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It is demoralizing.”
In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, she shared how she’d had a miscarriage hours before taking to the stage, revealing she took painkillers and put on an adult diaper to perform. “It’s the angriest performance that I’ve ever done in my life,” she said. “That was the moment of my life where I thought to myself, ‘I don’t feel like a f*cking human being anymore.'”
A couple of weeks ago, in another post to Instagram, Halsey spoke about pregnancy as well as how her experience with gender has subsequently been affected.
“I’ve been thinking lots about my body,” she wrote at the time. “It’s strange to watch yourself change so quickly.”

“I thought pregnancy would give me very strong, binary feelings about womanhood, but truly it has leveled my perception of gender entirely,” she continued.
“My sensitivity to my body has made me hyperaware of my humanness, and that’s all,” while she was contemplating her “humanness” she did admit that her body is “doing a remarkable thing. And it’s grand.”
She elaborated saying she felt the need to be super femme. “I thought there would be a lot of expectation or pressure on me to wake up every day feeling like some ‘girly-girly fertility goddess,’ but instead I wake up and eat when I’m hungry, sleep when I’m tired, and focus on growing a human.”
“And that is all I expect myself to do. Liberating!”
