Amy Schumer just lost her main source of child care and is looking for tips-!
Schumer, 39, revealed on Instagram Thursday how she no longer has her long-time nanny, Jane, who was quarantining with Schumer and husband, Chris Fischer, while caring for their son, 21-month-old son, Gene David.
Jane, who is a student, also appeared on Schumer’s Food Network show Amy Schumer Learns to Cook, and operated as an at-home cameraperson.
She went on to share how Jane left to focus on her studies.
“We have evolved to having no child care. ???? Love to Jane who is focusing on her studies,” writes Schumer. “Any tips for cutting a toddlers nails? We are strugglin! Also thanks to @evamendes for posting a bunch of great accounts to follow for toddlers check out her page for the list!”

With the post, which has since been deleted, Schumer shared a sweet photo of Gene in a stroller, grinning with a toy school bus while viewing a real-life bus.
In January of 2020, Schumer celebrated her nanny with an Instagram selfie of the two using matching face masks.
“This is our nanny who makes it possible for me to work and know that our baby is happy and healthy. I love her very much and we also both want to have nice skin,” she captioned the post at the time.
And in October of 2019, Schumer revealed how she really felt about going back to work after welcoming her first child.
“It’s empowering. It’s like you get a piece of yourself back, but it is hard,” Schumer said at the time. “I’m just so fortunate, you know? ‘Cause a lot of people have it a lot harder.”
Previously, she shared on Instagram the mixed feelings: “I’m feeling strong and good and like I’m still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I’m excited to reach. It’s felt good to be back at work. A couple days I’ve cried from missing [Gene]. But it’s mostly good to be back, and the breaks energize me to be a better mom and appreciate our time even more.”
