As many women know practicing body positivity can be easier said than done and it’s made even harder when pregnant. Ashley Tisdale, 35, had kind words for her own body and ones she hopes you will share with your own.
In a new pregnancy photo, the High School Musical star shared on social media, Tisdale tastefully poses holding her baby bump. The picture is beautiful enough as it shows off her mother-warrior body, but the caption she shared just might make you choke up it’s so inspiring.

“So much of the time we give our love to others. Let’s start loving ourselves and our bodies in every shape and form,” the actor and singer wrote. “Our bodies do a lot for us every day and we neglect to acknowledge that. Thank your body and say I love you.”
Tisdale is married to Christopher French, and they announced the pregnancy in September in a series of lovely photos of themselves staring down at her tiny baby bump.
Since September, she has posted a variety of updates regarding her changing figure and how she’s been taking care of herself during her pregnancy. She also has revealed that she struggled with her pregnancy in the first trimester.
“Yoga has gotten me through this entire pregnancy and life,” she shared this January on Instagram. “Whenever I feel anxious I do yoga and it makes all the noise of the world go away and I get very present in the moment.”

She also spoke out about the shame she received over her appearance with fans on her lifestyle blog Frenshe. She wrote that she felt “scrutinized, judged and made to feel ashamed” over her 2007 nose job.
“The bottom line: it was a very traumatic experience for me and it makes me very emotional to this day,” she continued in the blog post. “Plastic surgery wasn’t culturally accepted then like it is now. When I got it done I was scrutinized, judged, and made to feel ashamed over my decision. I made a decision that was no one’s business (and is STILL no one’s business) and for that decision, I was constantly made to feel bad about it.”
