The pandemic has resulted in people making a lot of online purchases. It’s probably fair to say that many of them weren’t actually necessary, but then again who would turn down a sale on luxe sweatpants during this trying time?
One kid, though, went perhaps slightly too far with her online shopping after she accidentally bough a banana pillow from Amazon. Now, you might think, “how bad could that be?” Turns out the pillow was nearly $200 and is 72 inches long (!) so…yeah.

Jimmy Kimmel interviewed the mom – who is also a producer of his nightly show, Jimmy Kimmel Live – who shared the story of her daughter’s hilarious shopping spree.
“I got home from work one night and Charlie said to me, ‘Mommy, I bought something on Amazon today. I think I bought a banana toy on Alexa,'” Charlie’s mom, Erin, told Kimmel. “And I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ And I didn’t think she really did it.”
Accessing the Alexa transcript, Erin confirmed that Charlie did, in fact, buy the $197 plush banana monkey pillow. Her daughter had asked Alexa if she could “please order the banana toys” and “buy it now.”
A couple of days later (thanks, Prime!), Charlie was very excited to receive her gigantic pillow which she has no plans of returning.
